| Project Description | The company’s main products include alachlor, methyl thiophanate, and phosgene-based intermediates such as salicyl nitrile, carbamates, and isocyanates. During production, high-salinity, high-COD organic wastewater is generated, with influent COD exceeding 30,000 mg/L. The existing treatment facilities face issues such as excessive chemical dosing without an automatic dosing system, large sludge production, and labor-intensive sludge cleaning, necessitating an upgrade. According to the owner, at full production, wastewater generation is approximately 600 m³/day. Considering recent production characteristics, the project will implement phased upgrading, with Phase I designed for 200 m³/day continuous operation over 24 hours. Based on sampling and laboratory pilot tests, our proposed wastewater treatment upgrade adopts the MOTIVA catalytic self-electrolysis (CSE) process. After the upgrade, effluent COD is expected to be ≤15,000 mg/L. The system offers reasonable capital and operating costs, high automation, low management complexity, reduced chemical usage, minimal sludge production, and simple operation, ensuring long-term stable performance. | ||||
