Hubei Wuhan PP Integrated Domestic Sewage Treatment Equipment Project

With the acceleration of urbanization, the volume of domestic sewage discharge in Wuhan, Hubei Province has increased year by year, placing great pressure on the local environment. To address this issue, the city decided to build a domestic sewage treatment project to improve treatment efficiency and environmental quality. After extensive evaluation, MOTIVA was selected as the project partner, providing advanced PP integrated sewage treatment equipment.

The project is located near a residential area in Wuhan and is designed to treat domestic sewage generated in the region. The system has a designed capacity of 60 cubic meters per hour and adopts the advanced AAO (Anaerobic–Anoxic–Oxic) process to ensure the effluent meets national discharge standards. As the main equipment supplier and technical support provider, MOTIVA offered comprehensive services including equipment design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.

The Power Behind Clean Water: PP Integrated Domestic Sewage Treatment Equipment Overview

  1. Material: The project uses integrated sewage treatment equipment made of PP (polypropylene). PP material is highly corrosion-resistant, lightweight yet strong, and easy to form, making it ideal for sewage applications. It effectively resists chemical corrosion, extends service life, and reduces maintenance costs.
  2. Specifications: The equipment processes 60 cubic meters of domestic sewage per hour. This capacity is determined based on actual project needs and future development plans, ensuring it meets both current and future demands.
  3. Process: The project adopts the AAO process, which combines anaerobic, anoxic, and aerobic biological treatments. This method leverages microbial action in different phases to remove organic matter, transform and eliminate nitrogen and phosphorus, and eliminate pathogens.
  4. Anaerobic Phase: Sewage first enters the anaerobic section, where anaerobic bacteria break down organic matter into smaller molecules and gases (e.g., methane, CO₂), reducing the burden on subsequent treatment.
  5. Anoxic Phase: The partially treated sewage then flows into the anoxic section. By controlling the inflow and oxygen levels, nitrate is reduced to nitrogen gas, removing nitrogen.
  6. Aerobic Phase: Finally, the sewage enters the aerobic section. Here, aerobic bacteria further oxidize remaining organics, and phosphorus is removed through microbial uptake and chemical precipitation. The final effluent meets national discharge standards.

Project Advantages

  1. High Efficiency & Energy Saving: MOTIVA’s PP integrated equipment uses advanced AAO technology to efficiently remove pollutants like organics, nitrogen, and phosphorus while minimizing energy consumption.
  2. Compact Footprint: The integrated system combines multiple units into one, significantly reducing space requirements and making installation more feasible in urban areas.
  3. Stable & Reliable Operation: Automated control systems enable remote monitoring and fault alerts, ensuring continuous stable operation. MOTIVA also offers expert technical support and after-sales services.
  4. Eco-Friendly: The project ensures effluent meets national standards, minimizing environmental impact. Noise and odor emissions are also effectively controlled during operation.

Since commissioning, the equipment has performed effectively, with effluent consistently meeting discharge standards. The project has improved the local living environment and quality of life for residents.

MOTIVA’s successful implementation in Wuhan demonstrates its technical strength and expertise in wastewater treatment. The company remains committed to R&D and innovation, offering high-efficiency, energy-saving, and eco-friendly wastewater solutions to more cities.
