| Project Description | This project involves the treatment of wastewater from creatine production and aminoguanidine carbonate production. The creatine wastewater has a salinity of up to 200,000 mg/L, COD up to 66,000 mg/L, and ammonia nitrogen up to 5,000 mg/L. The aminoguanidine carbonate wastewater has a salinity of up to 150,000 mg/L, COD up to 5,000 mg/L, and ammonia nitrogen up to 50,000 mg/L. The extremely high salinity prevents normal microbial activity, classifying these waste streams as typical high-salinity, high- strength organic wastewater. The treatment process combines Fenton oxidation, neutralization and flocculation–sedimentation, triple- effect evaporation, and two-stage AO biological treatment. Condensate from the evaporation stage is collected and treated together with other wastewater in the biological system. Under stable operating conditions, the effluent COD can be maintained at ≤500 mg/L, ensuring stable effluent quality and compliance with the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (Level III) for sewered discharge. |
